Paul's service game came under severe pressure as Medvedev turned the match back in his favour, the Russian sealing victory with his third match point when he broke for an eighth time. Medvedev started slowly as Paul's consistency troubled him in the opener, before regaining control in the second set after rediscovering his patience and composure.
